Welcome, Bienvenue, Wilkommen, Marhaba!

Thanks for joining me. My name is Richard (Rich for short) and I have been a keen traveller all my life. Originally from the United Kingdom, I have been living overseas since 2001.

At the age of 4, I vividly remember a school display poster of ‘Christmas in Australia’ and was so intrigued by the people celebrating Christmas at the beach. During my whole childhood, I wanted to visit this place. I saved all the way through high school and at the age of 19 boarded a plane for the 26 hour flight from Manchester UK, to Sydney, Australia.

I returned back to the UK with a very heavy heart and vowed to finish my studies teach in the UK for a year or two, then move overseas. In 2001 I left the UK. I have now spent more than half my life living abroad and am so thankful for the opportunities that I have encountered along the way.

My eyes, heart and mind are wide open to the world around me.

My personal values centre around well-being, tolerance, understanding and respect. Values which have been truly nurtured by the experience of living and thriving in different cultural settings to home.

I am proudly European and after many years living in the Middle East, I am currently calling France my home.
